Paralympic athlete Héctor Català, a Valencia CF fan who became Paratriathlon world champion in 2019, will take part in a a 'Half Ironman' from his house this Saturday. His attempt can be followed live on VCF Media.
Catalá, who has less than 10% vision in one eye, will run 21km on a treadmill, ride 90km on a static bike and swim 1.9km using a 3 metre pool and tether.
Valencia CF have donated equipment for the athlete, who has previously taken a ceremonial kickoff for the club against Getafe CF at Mestalla.
Donations can be made during Catalá's Half Ironman attempt, with funds raised going towards the fight against COVID-19.
